Family Meeting Agenda

· Introductions – Give Name, Idea for fun activity, and something you know how to do that you could share with the girls.

· Share Information about troop – Troop #, Meeting Time & Place, beginning calendar, pass around for them to sign up to volunteer to stay at meetings or drive to events. Let them know the girls decide what they will be doing at the first meeting; the beginning calendar just holds the date.

· Costs Finances – Dues (uniform, awards, books, and costs for events, activities, and crafts) discuss Cookies, get volunteer for Troop Cookie Person – they sign position description. Cookie info will come around November. Share estimated expenses have all parents bring checkbook to this meeting so they can write out their check to give to the troop. Be familiar with Grants for Girls and offer that to Parents who may have financial issues. Be sure families understand what the chunk of money is going towards.

· Girl Backpacks – discuss what girls should bring to meeting in their troop bag (crayons/markers, ruler, scissor, glue sticks, journey book, and uniform.)

· Permission Slips – To walk and carpool

· Family Involvement – Parents sign “Parent/Guardian Involvement Agreement”

· Adult Volunteers – Any other adults need to get trained? If adults will be helping deliver the program they need training, have them contact Kelly Cramer for more information kelmckcra@gmail.com . Recommend that all Adults register so they are covered by the GS Insurance when driving or helping with program.

· Family Partnership & Cookie Mgr – recruit volunteer for these positions, have them sign position description. (It is a ˝ hour to 1 hour training – they bring information back to troop after their training).

· Registration Process – Everyone completes the Registration forms (Adult and Girl) write check for $12 per form. Most should have been collected at New Member Night. Registration forms/payment contact Carolyn Loeffler at carolynloeffler@gmail.com .

· Complete “Girl Health History Form” – This stays with leader, does not get turned in with registration forms.

· Place permission to walk/carpool forms with girls health history forms and leader keeps

· Registration Summary form should go with2 or more registrations to the registrar Carolyn, leader will turn them into her. Checks for $12 should be written to  GSUSA.

· Close Meeting – Make sure everyone is on the same page and knows when the 1st Girl Meeting is and where.
